Problem space

Problem space

Traditional education struggles with limited resources, inefficient assessments, and lack of engagement, affecting both teachers and students. Teachers face time-consuming lesson planning, poor tracking of student progress, and difficulties in adapting to digital tools. Students experience lack of personalized learning, low motivation, and difficulty grasping concepts.

This UX design case study addresses these challenges face by teachers by creating and pointing out an e-education platform that enhances engagement, streamlines classroom management, and simplifies assessment and communication.

According to NWEA, only 34% of teachers believe their assessments effectively measure student learning.

User Survey & Interview

User Survey & Interview

We conducted a survey with 100 teachers from across Nepal, gathering insights into their experiences, challenges, and expectations regarding digital learning. Additionally, we conducted in-depth interviews with 30 teachers, each lasting 15-30 minutes, to gain a deeper understanding of their pain points and how digital tools can support their teaching.

Challenge 1: Limited Resources

Traditional classrooms often lack up-to-date materials and tools.

Introducing low-cost digital platforms and offline-compatible content that provide access to quality resources without heavy infrastructure.

Solution Design

Enhancing Teaching Efficiency

Effortless Access: All teaching materials are available in the Teaching Resources tab.

Customizable Lessons: Teachers can select grade-specific content (e.g., Grade 11).

Engaging Learning Tools: Interactive videos help simplify complex topics ensuring structured lesson delivery.

Challenge 2: Inefficient Assessments

Teachers struggle to assess student progress accurately and in real-time.

Use digital assessment tools that offer instant feedback, analytics, and personalized insights to track learning outcomes more effectively.

Solution Design

Smarter Assessments with Real-Time Student Insights

Real-Time Performance Tracking: Teachers get instant access to student activity and progress reports for accurate assessments.

Centralized Management: A unified dashboard helps monitor all students, saving time and boosting efficiency.

Challenge 3: Burden of Lesson Planning

Teachers spend too much time planning lessons manually.

Ready-made lesson templates with warm-ups, tasks, and reflections streamline planning and save teachers time.

Solution Design

Streamlined Lesson Planning with Pre-Built Resources

Ready-to-Use Templates: Lessons include warm-ups, tasks, and reflections—minimizing planning effort.

Quick Resource Access: Teachers can easily find and assign materials by level and subject.

Challenge 4: Lack of Engagement

Students aren't always actively involved in learning outside class.

Assigning work can be a solution—teachers can see who completed it, how they performed, and identify learning gaps early.

Solution Design

Engage Students Beyond the Classroom

Quick Task Creation: Assign work in seconds via the Assignments tab.

Track Progress: Teachers can see who completed tasks and how they did.

Keep Students Active: Regular tasks boost learning and engagement.
